Which additive suits your lawnmower?

On a petrol lawnmower, fuel maintenance primarily concerns carburettors and fuel carrying components. EUROSOL Petrol System (BS) is applied via the petrol tank and supports dissolving resin and deposits. Dosage follows the product instructions and the actual quantity of petrol used.

Check the engine design first. A four stroke lawnmower with its own engine oil circuit involves different maintenance steps to two stroke machinery. For electric equipment, combustion engine maintenance with these additives does not apply.

Cleaning and maintaining lawnmower carburettors

The carburettor prepares the fuel mixture for the engine. A petrol additive reaches it with the fuel and supports the care of wetted components. Especially with seasonal machinery, system care can be combined with preparations for the gardening season.

If a carburettor is already blocked, connections are leaking, or starting problems persist, an inspection is needed. Air filters, spark plugs and fuel condition also form part of troubleshooting. Any required mechanical carburettor cleaning remains a separate maintenance task.

Dosing small tanks accurately

  1. Check tank and fuel: Determine the intended petrol volume and the appropriate fuel from the equipment manual.
  2. Determine product amount: Match the dosage from the BS product instructions to this fuel volume. A full bottle is not automatically the right quantity for a small tank.
  3. Add before refuelling: Add BS to the petrol tank following instructions and then fill up with petrol.
  4. Combine maintenance: Combine this care with scheduled checks at the start and end of the season.

Oil changes on four stroke garden machinery

In suitable four stroke engines, OS prepares the engine oil circuit for the oil change as an engine flush. HO is added after the oil change and supplements engine oil maintenance for suitable equipment. With small oil capacities, accurate dosing is especially important.

These engine oil applications must not be added to the fuel mixture of two stroke machinery. Furthermore, do not use HO in engines with a clutch running in the same oil circuit. Check the suitability of your specific lawnmower or ride on mower.

Frequently asked questions about additives for garden machinery

Can I use BS for other garden machinery as well?

The choice depends on the petrol engine and product instructions. For machinery such as tillers or ride on mowers, check fuel, tank volume and engine design in particular.

Are engine cleaner and petrol additive the same thing?

The term engine cleaner is ambiguous. BS belongs to the petrol system. OS is an engine flush for the oil circuit before an oil change. Cleaning the exterior of an engine casing requires a different application.

What is different on a ride on mower with a diesel engine?

For its fuel system, use Diesel System (DS) instead of Petrol System. Engine oil care is selected separately based on engine design and manufacturer specifications.
